Regarding the July 8th reboot

Since this has been on my mind since I first learned of the change, I thought it would be good (if only for a week) to have a place to resolve some of the problems that are likely to come up because of it. The main one I can think of is that for at least several days the alliance won't exist or be large enough to accomadate our large (and fast growing) number of members due to the lack of a high enough level embassy. Thoughts on that?

Embassy's aren't too expensive. If everyone brings their embassy up to level three within say... a week, we should have enough.

that's true, but I think it's wierd that every aliance in the game will be disbanded like this. I guess that, unlike the players, the space project people really did see this whole thing as a prototype.

i think it is just the founders league that matters. we had better make a list of who is in the league and then adaven can add them back as quickly as we get the embassy up and running. ive been playing the german version a bit and its really different. research is greatly improved, i think its a lot better

German version? do you think the new game will be more like that?

i think it will be, it just came out like 7 days ago and has the same name.

I am going to be away on the 8th through till the following Monday evening. I don't really wan't to start 4 days behind everyone else.

Please could one of the more experienced players sit for me for the first couple of days to get me going?

You might not want to jump in too fast since the hardcore loonies jump in really fast and crowd the origin. Its because of farming the inactives out further that we have been able to grow so explosively. A day or 2 to let things settle and get further from the jerks near the origin that spend money like water for gold wouldnt be a bad thing.

Do we know that if we leave it a couple of days that we will be further out. I think it's probably random placement. Also most of the big guys are in G1

I dont have 100% certainty, but thats the way travian did it, and this looks to behave in a mostly similar way.

It probably does. I think game was probably coded almost exactly like travian with different graphics.
