Colonization

I am trying to get to system 2:-4:7, it's right beside Agrajag and Apathic's system. The drop ship doesn't have enough fuel. Can I use transporters, scouts or recyclers to supplement the fuel?

It looks like I can use scouts, but I will need more. I guess I will have to wait.

I have sent my drop ship off with some recyclers. I re-thought my decision to colonize the system with Agrajag and Apathic. I chose the system 2:-8:5 on planet P95838902. It had the highest wind power with the fewest other colonies.

congrats! and something i just realized is that before building up mines, we should get recyclers up and running so we can have a steady income

This is good, by time I get my second planet (little over 36 hours) you all will have all the bugs worked out for me to have a smooth transition.

I lost 5 recyclers and 20 fighters to get to this planet. I am sending new ones currently.

I'm looking at a third planet as soon as I have the resources. There is a good ice planet in a system next to my new one. I will then look at getting a water world.

I am a long way off from getting my second planet, but when one is looking, whats the best thing to look for in a would be new planet??

well first you want to decide what type of planet you want. it all depends on the amount of mines. then find one with good power percentages, compare them to others of the same type. we are all putting our planets close together, so if you can start looking there if you want

i read on the wiki that the equation for CUs is (EP/20)^0.5 in case anyone needs to know how long itll take them

You're right, I wasn't looking at my CU. I guess I will have a drop ship in waiting.

have you researched expansion tech any more? it gave me about 500 EP for the first level

Alright I finally am building my drop ship (dang 39 hours grrrr) Its to hard to stay near the top of the board with only one planet I'll check out whats the best available among the rest of you. So what info have you got to get my second planet going smoothly?

youll need energy first thing because there is no AEC after that, send another fleet of recyclers and get your fleet base. before/after that you will need stores cause they drag in a lot of resources. also a research center would be very helpful. thats about where i am now, but im going to get all my mines running now that i have all my stores to level 8

Alright how much power is necessary to move to second planet?
Right now my AEC is level 7.

Drop ships only use 1000 energy. Once the ship makes landfall, the drop ship stops using that power supply and you can go from there with 1k more power than you had.
